However, as Griffith is noticed more by the nobles of Midland, Guts is starting to be pulled into Griffith's vision of being a ruler. This volume focuses a lot in the danger of blind loyalties, fear, and true understanding on a human level
Casca is judged so harshly, and she is at times seen as a cruel character, but she lives in a world where women are prohibited and only seen in a certain way by men. By telling Guts her story of how she arrived to the Band of the Hawks, she and Guts develop a deeper understanding and start to develop care towards each other #manga
Well...punched for a third time in the face by Casca...Guts was trying to do a good deed and keep Casca alive. They fell in the river, Guts had to keep her warm by using his body heat...but she just hates Guts for being, well, himself #manga

From this one page, now I have the theme song for the opening credits from the 1997 Berserk anime stuck in my head
Guts looks so scruffy, rowdy, and so hot-headed next to Griffith. I love these two though #manga

This helmet design always captures my attention. I'm wondering if Miura reasearched on armor and helmets designed and crafted during the Medieval era or if the helmets Guts, Griffith and Casca wear are his own designs, possibly to make them stand out more or make them look fierceless since all three of them are so young and physically strong during the Golden Age #manga
Still feel the same about Gambino (*a lot of curse words coming out of my mouth when thinking about Gambino*)#manga
Continuing on to volume 2 of the deluxe edition for Berserk. So many feelings about Griffith still, BUT I won't spoil that for readers who haven't read or seen Berserk #manga
