bailedWanted to try a new sub-genre of horror (splatter western) & this had a compelling twist: Time-traveling lawman hunts world-destroying Elder gods. It has Lovecraft-by-way-of-Tarantino aspirations but without the depth or craft of either. Some sentences are almost comically unintelligible, which is fine if you just want to get to the fantastically described “splatter.” Gore for gore‘s sake made me a little sick, though, so again, not my genre.
