October #bookspin wrapped within the month! 🙌🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a quick read and a whodunnit spanning 13+ years.
A woman with synesthesia - she sees colors when people speak, each with their own distinctive shades and patterns - returns home 13 years after her boyfriend and his family disappeared to take care of her aging grandmother & autistic brother. But not everybody is happy that she's back.
This one has mixed reviews, & I'll admit that it wasn't without its faults, but it kept my attention & I enjoyed reading it. I found it fast paced & suspenseful.
🎧 Prime FirstRead, a whodunit, 4 narrators. POV changes with every chapter.
Multiple deaths 12 years in the past are investigated when a new murder happens in the present. Tory returns to town to care for her grandmother & autistic brother, she‘s the GF of 1 of the original victims. Teagan‘s the investigator assigned to the new case.
Didn‘t quite get drawn into the story until the last 15%. Twists & turns & the best is saved for last. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Two women, Jori and Tegan must work together to solve a string of murders. Jori has synesthesia and she can use it to “see” the colors of how other people speak. Tegan is a local single mother/police officer. As they work together to solve the murders, family secrets are revealed and one of them gets much too close to the murderer and begins to fear for her life.
