It was a slow start but the book picked up pace as it went on! It was beautifully written and very sad at the same time. Great book about feminism, grooming, and trauma.

1. One Great Lie by Deb Caletti
2. Firekeeper's Daughter. Sooo good!
3. Me (Moth) by Amber McBride.
This month I'm trying to catch up on the Printz mock contenders from work! Lots of great YA books were released last year!

Thank you Libro.fm for the ALC! Excited to listen to this one. 🎧
#ARC delivery. Super excited for several of these, if only I could read on the clock.
The premise is solid—graduating high school senior spends the summer at a writer‘s retreat in Venice which allows her not only to work with her favorite author but also research a family mystery. The story, while dealing with important subjects such as powerful men & the influence they wield, was utterly predictable & while I think teens might enjoy the book more, I was disappointed. Short histories about medieval female poets were a highlight.
🎇Happy New Year Littens!🎆
Starting my first new book of 2021—I don‘t love the cover, almost didn‘t pick it up, but then I saw the author. Caletti writes really great contemporary YA, her Printz Honor Book A Heart in a Body in the World is fantastic, so of course I have to see what this one is all about.
