Esme is half angel/half devil and this third book picks up with her devil father kidnapping her from the “safe” sacred ground to force her angel mother to give back something she stole from him. This was a good ending to an uneven trilogy. Book 1 hooked me with Esme caring for a marvelous zoo, but the zoo becomes an afterthought and book 2 is a dismal YA drama. Book 3 recovers the story & ends on a high note. This is a late review; my last book ⬇️

Main character is in the Black Friday shopping crowd. When I read about a group of people in a book, I still do a double take wondering why they aren‘t masked or social distancing. Anyone else still feeling that way?

Butterfinger I find myself visualizing my characters WITH masks. I was reading Monte Cristo last night and the Count said 'so low he couldn't hear what was said,' and I thought it's because of the mask. Instantly, I thought - you crazy thing it's the Count, not Zorro. 4y
