This is my 3rd book of #WinterGames and my final book of #20in4. I didn't reach my goal of 20 hours, but I did get to just over 19 hours. If only I could've kept my eyes open for another 40 minutes! I loved this story. It was sweet, not saccharine, and perfect for Christmas. #CandyCaneCrushers

Ori dreads holiday dinners with her blended family (blended is far too mild a word for it). The only thing Grandma Elving can talk about is a Christmas season in the 1950s, a habit that annoys everyone but catches the attention of Ori's step-sister's date, a neurology student. It's probably not a good idea to help him with a research project, but Ori isn't known for good ideas. Humorous and sweet.

This one is a holiday novella which I didn't get from the library until now. I read it in a single sitting and it's really sweet. Lovely Christmas story.

Had to subscribe to read Connie Willis‘ latest Christmas novella. It did not disappoint, a great story about memories, families and Christmas gatherings.

It's adorable and charming and perfect reading for the season. I am legitimately bummed that it ended; I wanted to stay with the characters. Pick.

Aims42 Sounds like a good read! Adding it to my TBR 😃 4y

Splurge for the season -- I've been so good about waiting for library copies, but I wanted to read this one NOW.

On the surface, this novella is a holiday romantic comedy. But underneath, there is a strong message. Everyone in the family is tired of listening to Grandma repeat the story of the time she worked at Woolworth's. They ignore and disregard her and her story until Sloane‘s newest boyfriend takes an interest.

I think the author is trying to shed light on the way many people get caught up in the trappings of fame, fortune, and fads (Cont“d)

CaitZ and forget that there is more to life. Simple pleasures and love are the most important.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
