Marc-Uwe Kling has grown up, and is now a loud voice warning against how we deal with technology and all that comes with it. His new book is a clear warning that AI is getting out of hands, and that we have to be very, very careful where we're going. It's good. So good that I listend to the audio book in one sitting. It's disturbing. Please be aware of the TWs. But also be aware that this is our reality now. This is us now.
I was skeptical at first, if a second book would really work. Well, it does. And how it does! Kling simply knows what he's doing. Funny, cynical and with a clear view on what pathbour society is going down, old and new characters are making their ways through QualityLand. Spooky, because it's true.
At this point in the game the stick just gets old. The satire is pointed and the dialogues are funny, but it feels just like every other Kai Uwe Kling book - just not in a good way.... Kangaroo is life, but kangaroos spin-offs sequel is just... meh...
