In the small town of Black Bay, a vacant, forgotten house sits atop an overlooking bluff. When Bailey and Bodhi Taylor move in and begin renovations, the house seems perfect. But things move on their own, screams echo from the basement, and Bailey sees a shadowy figure out of the corner of her eye. Is the house haunted? And if it is, what does the ghost want with Bailey?

Haunting of Winchester Mansion | Alexandria Clarke

Every touch, every kiss, was a silent pact to love and adore the person to whom it was given. People often forgot that. We handed out our affection freely, carelessly, finding easy comfort in interlaced fingers or the parting of lips or casual embraces. Then it crumbled.

Pickpick

I was happily surprised to enjoy this book so much. Usually self published authors don‘t have such smooth writing or a good story line. Clarke delivered on both from the getgo, only dragging for me in the last thirty percent because the big baddie had been revealed. I was surprised to see bad reviews for the book. But I like what I like 🤷‍♀️This atypical haunting with an emotional side to it checked the boxes for me.
