William Still and His Freedom Stories: The Father of the Underground Railroad by Don Tate is a children literature biography picture book that was published in 2020. It is about a man named William Still and talks about his life story and the impact he made during a horrible time in America. I think this book would be great to read to upper age elementary because it has a lot of reading but i think it is an awesome book and would love to have it.

This was a wonderful story about a figure from American history that is rarely taught in school. William Still is known as the father of the Underground Railroad. He kept records, told stories, and fought to have Black citizens seen as equal members of the community. Sometimes this story gets a bit long winded, but overall it works, and is a great addition to any history class for young kids.
