Money laundering is just the start of the criminal activities that 'Uncle' Sheeky & family are involved in. But rather than a 'thriller' this is more about trust and the need for family. It's strong on evoking a time & place - from the bodega's of Brooklyn, to coffee shops and community bakeries. But the non linear time line is a little clumsy and the author, whilst pushing for authenticity has over complicated everything! Sometimes less is more!
