Maddy Gaines sees danger everywhere she looks: at the bus stop, around the roller rink, in the woods, and (especially) by the ocean. What would you do if you recognized a “missing” child? Would anyone believe you if you were an anxious young girl who is known to overreact? A story about families lost, found, and broken. Wonderfully touching with just a bit of mystery.
