What fun body horror stories! My favs are The Licking Woman (that had me feeling a bit queasy) and The Enigma of Amigara Fault (I‘m going to have nightmares about holes…).

So this was my first Manga style book and I loved it. Some of the stories ended abruptly, but it was ok because the artwork said so much. @Reggie THE CHAIR!! You weren‘t kidding that one was rough.
The Licking Woman was disgusting, and found myself both horrified and mesmerized by the images in Billions Alone, inspecting them like some f‘d up version of a Richard Scarry picture book. So good.

Reggie Lol, I‘m glad you liked this. The one about the UFO group and the girl was crazy, too! 4y
ElleSkel Oh I almost forgot @TheAromaofBooks this was my #BookSpin ! 4y
TheAromaofBooks Great progress!! 4y
ElleSkel @TheAromaofBooks I was very lucky this time, I had both books on hand and they are both short! 4y

Awww I really enjoyed these. Being that I wasn‘t a reader in my youth I missed out on Goosebumps. But if Goosebumps had an adult graphic novel this would be really close. Every tale in this collection was unsettling and warmed my horror heart. A ufo group gathers as a father protects his daughter. A woman becomes afraid of the chair she writes her books from believing there is someone inside it. A woman gives birth from beyond the grave. The 👇🏼

Reggie woman who kills people by licking them. A story about a paranormal romance gone very wrong. They were all so out there and completely drawn for you. This was horrifically wonderful.🖤sigh. 4y
BekahB Glad to see you enjoyed this! I haven‘t had a chance to read it yet, but I‘m excited to. So far my favorite collection of his short story manga has been Shiver. 4y
Reggie @BekahB I had heard a lot of people talk or mention him but had never gotten around to it until now. Looking forward to more. 4y

I‘m so excited!!!! My first Junji Ito. Top left, bodies stretched all throughout trees, are the beginning end papers. Top right, is the back end papers. Bottom left is the outside of the hardback, underneath the sleeve. So excited!!! 😱🥶🤯🧛‍♂️💀🧟‍♂️I‘m going in!!!!

LaraS Ooo, I love me some good end papers and secret cover art!😱🖤 4y
Deray I just discovered Junji Ito this year thanks to my daughter and I absolutely love his work. Such creepy stories and the artwork is phenomenal. 4y

This was intensely scary and absolutely bizarre. I love horror but there are so few writers that make me genuinely ~afraid~, normally I appreciate spookiness but I don‘t feel real fear. This had me lying in bed asking my boyfriend to bring me stuff so I‘d have another person in the room, psyching myself up to turn the page afraid of what I‘d see, but also desperate to read the next story and be scared again.

vivastory This song makes me think of Uzumaki & it always freaks me out slightly when it's on the radio

I was drawn in by the cover. The illustrations are beautiful, which added to a set of creepy short stories, makes this book CREEPY AF! They are the urban legends (reminiscent of Lovecraft) in which that last line makes your skin crawl. Vile people, terrifying monsters, and supernatural horrors are all touched on. I‘m glad I read this during the day. I‘ll now need to read something else to get these images out of my head.
