I am so loving this series. I'm learning about some of the Gods that I don't know a lot about. Sadly, I only have a couple more to go. (The library doesn't have all of them)

shortsarahrose Does your library offer interlibrary loan? If they do, you might be able to borrow the other books from other libraries through your library! 2y
persephone1408 @shortsarahrose Idk I'll have to ask 2y
shortsarahrose It‘s a great service that a lot of public libraries offer but that a lot of patrons don‘t know about. Some libraries might charge a small shipping fee (mine never charges more than $5). You could also suggest they purchase the other books. Librarians are often pretty open to purchase requests (if reasonable) and since they have others in the series, that‘s a good sign. 2y

I liked this better than I expected to. My least favorite Olympian, but his installment is the Iliad! I love the surprising view of Ares as a caring father, really enjoyed his face-off with Athena (and when she slugged Aphrodite!), and Ares‘ zinger to his dad at the end.

I love this series because O‘Connor always gives me something new to notice or consider.

4⭐️I‘ll be honest, I was surprised by this one. How can one put all of Ares‘ bloodlust, murderous, and vengeful personality into a 66 page graphic novel? Through the retelling of the Iliad of course! The Trojan War! Achilles‘ Heel ! 🛡⚔️The Battle= think Avengers bumping into X Men... so much excitement! Well done, O‘ Conner, well played.

One of the scariest covers of the last few years AT LEAST. Not my favorite of the series but it definitely had its moments. Not a bad condensing of the Iliad into 66 pages. And the burn at the very end was priceless!
