A short one, but powerful and so important. The loss of local news is having a terrible effect on our democracy. Without investigative journalists working in our towns, we have no way of holding public leaders accountable.

Give this one a read and consider supporting your local news with a subscription. They're in a bind because Facebook and Google have siphoned all the advertising. The only way to reverse the trend is to support local news.

Bed time reading, however I‘m finding that it‘s making me too sad. It‘s such an important read for the current times...

Spent my afternoon reading this short but important non fiction title.

The topic that is presented in this book is important and I've seen the destruction of the local journalism in my own city of Denver CO. It's an important conversation we need to have. What are we willing to pay for good journalism? What format should our news be in? Print? Digital? Do we need 24 hour news cycles?

Read the book, skip the Audiobook

Scochrane26 I wish we didn‘t have 24 hour news. I don‘t watch any of those programs. 4y
