I‘ll give Prosper‘s Demon a pick, but it‘s an odd one about an exorcist looking to prevent a demon from implementing a vague evil plan. Our narrator is completely unreliable and, as he himself warns, not particularly likable. Just what exactly are these demons? Are they even real? The unnamed (and probably untrustworthy) narrator has a calling. He can see and speak to demons, and he can cast them from a person they've possessed. He finds an old enemy possessing a member of a royal household and is persuaded to go along. For now. Plenty of room here for Parker's signature black wit and social commentary.
