1/5⭐ Dry and bland. I appreciate the themes the author tried to incorporate, like preconceptions and fate. But it seemed like she bent and twisted the original Arthurian mythology to try to make those themes work, ultimately making everything seem unnatural and forced. #adventureathon #fantasyadventureathon #fantasydragon

Facing her was worse than facing ten knights in full armor. My heart pounded with dread, my head pounded so painfully I could not think, and everything she had said hung on me like robes of lead...I trembled in the shadow of her power.

In the night I heard a sound that resembled the baying of hounds but when I pulled a flaming stick from my campfire and held it high to look, I saw a beast with a body like that of a leopard but legs and cloven feet like those of a red deer. It turned its head and hissed at me, and its head was that of a great serpent, with flat fiery eyes. I threw my torch at it, and it sprang away.
