@Alfrazier21 absolutely knocked my #ElfSwap package out of the park! I can‘t wait to read both of the novels and enjoy all of the treats! This may be one of the best swaps I‘ve ever received. Thank you so much! ❤️

DOLLAR TREE BOOK HAUL!!!! Horrible photo sorry.
Can't wait to read them.
Everyone in Brooklyn knows about the girls on Devonairre Street and how they are cursed for the men they love. If they fall in love with you, your going to die.
Sometimes I have a love/hate relationship with magic realism books. I don‘t know how to feel about this one. While I enjoyed some parts of the story there were a lot of moments where I was waiting for someone to say “Fuck this Shit” but it never happened.

I was a little iffy about the plot going in, but was totally drawn in by the writing. The story follows the supposedly cursed Devonnaire Street girls- any boys they love will die. And after a violent death of someone they loved, it seems that way, even to Lorna, who never believed. This is sad and mysterious and sucks you in. I really enjoyed it. The writing is simply gorgeous.
Early morning reading time is the best.
Finished a blog post, drafted a review, did some research stuff, and watched Game of Thrones. Time to read.
It's a beautiful exploration of love, grief, community and tragedy. Once again, I'm thoroughly impressed by Haydu's ability to write an unusual, compelling tale.
Great coffee and gorgeous book (cover, at least) -- post-anniversary date with @WanderingBookaneer @TheBookmarkPR
Another case of beautiful, lyric prose separating me from the main character, who was the most boring of all the Devonairre Street girls. The good: a gorgeous portrayal of female friendship and grief and a fascinating alternate universe America (and that cover 😍). The bad: I wanted to spend more time with the world than inside Lorna's selfish, confused and repetitive inner monologue. 🌾🍋 #ya #yalit
The portrayal of grief in this book was absolutely wonderful, and I really liked the writing, but I also hated the main character and had way too many questions by the end. Too bad, it could have been fantastic. #arc
Finished during my weekly allergy shot reading time.
An incredibly intriguing concept in terms of world-building and hook, but the book falls flat in what is done with it. I liked the parts which meditated on grief, grief rituals, survivor's guilt, and superstition. But the plot itself didn't thrill me and I didn't feel much attachment to the protagonist. It disappointed me after the absolutely thrill I had reading OCD Love Story. 2 out of 5 *.
Lyrical and melancholy, with shades of The Virgin Suicides. Very different from her Life By Committee, but I think this book is going to haunt me for a long time. #midnightbookgirl #JanuaryRelease #edelweiss #arc
The story is interesting so far but I'm having trouble just accepting the way things are. Hopefully they explain more before the end.
Two books in two days. That's how you know it's thanksgiving.
