Ozone depletion and dwindling resources have driven the human race into domed cities where population controls are strictly enforced. When a young couple goes looking for an anti-government paradise in the desert they may have found more than they bargained for. Sophie Goldstein is a graduate of the Center for Cartoon Studies. Mehso-so

Very interesting premise. The ozone has depleted. The sun is roasting the world and all the people in it. Domed cities offer protection but the government enforces strict population control. A couple ineligible to breed escape the safety of the city and head to the Oven. A quick read tinged with melancholy and a small wisp of hope at the end.

Pickpick

Darker than its bright colors suggest, The Oven is a short sci-fi story about a couple who escapes one society only to be tested by a new one. #comics

Ohboycomics I thought this book had an excellent premise, and was executed well! (edited) 8y
