I found this to be really gripping. The characters were really engaging, even the minor ones so I felt it more when people died. It kept me hooked till the end and made me so excited for the next one.

Set in the 13th century during the Crusades. The first book in a trilogy. Two men on opposite sides will have their destinies tied together. Will, a young knight, ends up in a lot of trouble looking for the Book of the Grail. Baybars, a former slave, wants to take down the crusaders with his army. It took me awhile to get into this book, but once I did, I really enjoyed the story and the characters.

Baybars & his army have taken over Egypt and Syria. Battle scenes, memorable characters, & a riveting mystery at its center. Brethren is a historical drama that brings the Middle Ages vividly to life.I loved this book and it's interesting characters and look forward to reading book 2, Crusade.

I was too tired to post so here is my end of day 2 totals for #24B4Monday. On day 2 : 9 hrs 31 mins reading, no books finished but 434 pages read.

Altogether 15 hrs 0 mins read, 2 books finished and 753 pages read. Now to try to fit 9 hrs of reading in today to get to 24 hours! Also aiming to finish two more books and read 1200 pages

I‘ve started reading the Brethren Trilogy by Robyn Young, which I am reading with @Tove_Reads and @EadieB

This is something I have wanted to read for a long time. I‘m reading as part of #24B4Monday, but at 672 pages it may take a while. So far up to 11 hrs and 4 mins, and so far today 5 hrs and 35 mins.
