I think my expectations were way too high. I‘d heard of them, seen interviews, read blurbs online...but the book, for me, fell flat. Not horrible, but not nearly as interesting as I think it could have been. Lots of personal profiles and some photos, but the history was lost in bland (to me) writing. However, it does at least let people who don‘t know about the Compton Cowboys know they exist and are still around.
