I recently got a stylus for my iPad and have started playing with it for drawing. I think I‘m going to try to start doing my monthly reading roundups in this vein from now on!

Littens, I need help! I have been trying to decide on a tablet (first ever) for months and now it‘s go time and I know nothing.

I need something either for just me or to share with the 6-year-old super reader. Or she might get her own. Primary use will be for library apps (Hoopla, Overdrive, ?) and educational games/apps/websites. Ideally something Best Buy might have in stock so I can do curbside pickup this weekend.

Price is negotiable. Help!

wanderinglynn I have a kindle fire and I love it. While I do have a Kindle Unlimited subscription, I also use Libby (for library books). You can download all sorts of apps to it. 5y
Butterfinger My 9 year old loves her Kindle. 5y
TheAromaofBooks I've used laptopmag.com for information when I was researching a new laptop and also a new tablet and have found that they have a lot of articles that are informative without being overwhelming. Here's their latest on tablets for kids, but from there you can link to several other articles with useful summaries of various devices. https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/kids-tablet-reviews Good luck - picking out new technology always stresses me!! 5y
LibrarianRyan Not gonna lie, addicted to my iPad. I‘m on my 3rd. They just work. Get the right case and it‘s pretty indestructible. Plus it has ALL the reading apps. No need to jail break it. It has some awesome educational apps as well. . . 5y
