We Forgot Brock!
We Forgot Brock!: with audio recording | Carter Goodrich
2 posts | 3 read | 2 to read
The importance of imaginary friends is very real in this picture book adventure from the author of Say Hello to Zorro! and lead character designer for Despicable Me, Finding Nemo, and Monsters, Inc. Phillip and Brock are best friends. Everyone can see Phillip, but only Phillip can see Brock. A night at the Big Fair is all fun and games until Phillip gets sleepy, heads home, and forgets Brock! Brock misses Phillip. And Phillip misses Brock. Will they reunite? With the help of another pair of pals, they just might. Because even imaginary friends get lost sometimes. Finding them is part of the adventure.

#Movember Day 5: Phillip had an imaginary friend named Brock. It was quite the tragedy when the family accidentally left Brock behind at the carnival as Phillip fell fast asleep, exhausted, in his father‘s arms. A #sorry state of affairs. I liked how this young boy shows such absolute certainty about the presence of Brock – as if Brock was truly a sentient being. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-b0f

This modern fantasy (F) about a little boy with an imaginary friend. Philip and his imaginary friend, Brock go on many adventures together until one day he accidentally left Brock behind at a fair. He missed Brock very much until he put out a missing persons ad and found Brock had found some new friends. They all spent an afternoon together and found that everything was even better than before.” #UCFLAE3414SP18

DrSpalding Excellent resource. Be sure to add the necessary components. I made text to text connections with Berkeley by Santat and JESSICA by Henkes. Both have the similar theme of imaginary friends. 7y
