How important are the opening lines of a book to you? For me, they are just as important as the synopsis! They help me determine whether or not I want to read a book and just how excited I am about getting to it. After peeking at the first page of Joe Meno‘s new book I decided that this would definitely need to be a priority. Meno‘s descriptive narrative, haunting and poetic, reads like fiction, despite the true story covered throughout the pages.
