This book, although sad, opened my eyes to what the Jewish people of the that era had to go through and what they saw. I found this book full of raw emotion and family support in hard times. This is one book I did NOT want to put down once I started it.

Literally half way through the book. It‘s so sad 😭

It took me three weeks to read this book. It is highly emotionally exhausting. I am interested in literature about the Holocaust and The Third Reich, but unfortunately due to exam time I didn‘t really have the energy and concentration needed to read this book after another long day of studying. Tonight, I deliberately made time for it and finished it!

Another must-read, another powerful story that has to be told and remembered.
