We Shall Not Sleep
We Shall Not Sleep | M R Graham
1 post | 1 read | 1 to read
The Great War is over, its fires quenched. The guns are silent. The Dead are waking. Meg van Helsing grew up with a book in one hand and a wooden stake in the other, a crucifix always around her neck. But the world has changed, and the monsters she hunts with her friends are less frightening than gas burns and shell shock. The ghost of the War looms darker than Dracula

Pickpick

Currently reading this and LOVING it. Ser 25 years after the defeat of Dracula, with the premise that the book by Stoker was actually journals of Van Helsing and never meant to be published. Vampires are real, as are other "creepy crawlies". Love the heroine and the themes of war vs supernatural horror.

Can't wait for tomorrow, which is a day off, so I can dive back in and hopefully finish the book.

KatjeIsWriting Ugh, *set, not ser. Fumble fingers. XD 5y
