Snow Day here in Maryland so I decided to pick this graphic novel up. I was obsessed with all things Titanic when the movie came out many years ago. I have seen so many younger kids enjoy this series and was excited to see that they are being made into graphic novels. It was a quick read about George and his adventures on the Titanic with his family. I also love how at the end of the novel there was real life pictures about people from the titanic

This HF graphic novel won the Young Readers Choice Awards. This book would be great to have in the classroom for IR. But here is a lesson plan how a teacher utilized GR methods in her classroom. gateway.warsawschools.org/staff/forms/academics/guided-reading-lesson-plans-1/level-p-1/3405-i-survived-the-sinking-of-the-titanic-1912-level-p/file UDL 3.1, ESOL 17 and 5 #ucflae3414sp20

Ryan_R Love the graphic novel! 5y
DrSpalding Remember that you must include a brief summary to show that you read the book. This graphic novel version is so enticing! I am adding this to my stack. I love all things related to the Titanic! 5y

This very popular series is getting the graphic novel treatment. This will be great for my reluctant reader nephew Jace.

Daisey I‘ll be very curious to see the graphic novel versions. Many of my more reluctant readers have enjoyed the originals. 5y
Aloisi_tribe I already have the Titanic I Survived GN on reserve at my library for my 11 year old. He has read all of the original I Survived books and is obsessed with the Titanic. 5y
