I thought this book would be more about Jay Z‘s life...before his amazing rise to fame, and after. It is not. This book was easy to read and had some interesting tidbits, but just wasn‘t the book for me.

I don't know how I feel about this book. I thought it would be about Jay-Z; which it was, but it was mostly about America, and how it shaped Jay-Z. Hence: made in America part. Other people were mentioned in the book as well, like Biggie, Nas, LeBron James and MLK. Some at great length, which I don't think I liked too much.
I think Jay-Z: Made in America is a book I'll come back to visit without any expectations and I'm might enjoy it more.
Going to finish out the year with Jay-Z: Made in America
