A fascinating man of mythical proportions George W. Carver, most notably the "peanut man," was first & foremost a man of faith on a mission to help "his people." Hersey contends Carver was an environmentalist, artist, teacher & a man who spent his entire life sharing his love of nature with anyone who would listen, most of it in the Jim Crow South & the Tuskegee Institute. Carver has a unique history & I found this biography very interesting.
