I‘m not a zombie fan — they are usually too gross — but I love these books. They, of necessity, have some grossness, but it‘s not that bad. Angel is a great character, and it‘s fun to cheer her on and watch her grow.

And the reread continues like gaging busters! This is the book that you start to really see how much of a bad ass Angel can really be! I‘m so stinking excited for the rest of this series reread! I‘m still not a big fan of Marcus, but I can see the purpose he serves. I‘m just bracing myself for how much he pisses me off farther down the line. But that too is totally worth it for the pay off! White Trash Zombie Apocalypse, here I come!

To reiterate, this series should not be as good as it is. This time Angel has to deal with a mysterious death which prompts a body theft at gunpoint. Squidapus thinks that the humor, characters and plot are still just great. The author must write crime novels on the side because she does a better job of hints and tying clues together into a mystery that makes sense than most crime/mystery novels Squidapus has read. A really quick and fun read

My read for the #litsypartyofone - so far, I'm thrilled to report that this series is going strong!! I really enjoy watching Angel find her feet and refusing to be knocked back down. Solid editing, good quality, consistent writing and who knew Zombies could be the bearers of such good lessons in handling resilience with grace? Highly recommended, especially for those times you aren't having a good day but really need some ass kicking. 😊
