Weird Sea Creatures by Laura Marsh in the National Geographic kids is an NF book. It shares many strange sea creatures on how they look like and things it can do. Some of the words used in this book are difficult so I would use it as a GR. With the support of the teacher the students could understand the weird animals. Also could be used alongside a science lesson. #ucflae3414f19
cassandram http://www.readwritethink.org/classroom-resources/lesson-plans/weather-journey-n... this resource provides a way to introduce RF books to students in a fun way. Through this I would use UDL 2.1 by clarifying the vocabulary used in the book. And ESOL strategy teach technical vocabulary. This would be especially important since it used higher level vocabulary to describe the sea creatures. #ucflae3414f19 5y
Tinks The title had me wanting to look inside just to discover all of the weird and beautiful creatures we have under the sea. Nice. 5y
DrSpalding Your cute pup is not a weird creature! This nonfiction book, is an excellent one to include in science instruction. You do not get better nonfiction than National Geographic! 5y
