This one‘s a super quick, super cute read (for kids and adults alike)! There are definitely things that aren‘t perfect about it, like Walter‘s behavior and how it never really changes, but I think that‘s alright in a semi-autobiographical piece. The illustrations are also great, and the color palette is lovely.

Some of the most relatable emotions I‘ve found in a graphic novel before 😂 I wanted to slap the mum‘s boyfriend so hard 🤣 really loved this. A story of divorce and a blended family and feeling different. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was yet another great book by Lucy Knisley. The only thing that made me a bit leary was the mothers boyfriend. He seemed a bit over the top and belittling.

I adore Lucy and was super excited about this and on the whole it's actually pretty good, but wow, the utterly abusive stepfather took away my enjoyment of it. I'm kind of upset it's based on real life tbh. Loved the MC and her stepsisters' progression, though, that part was delightful. Also, farmer's market vibes give me life.

As someone who works conventions and festivals for a living I'm not surprised... but both my partner and I have been laid off for the foreseeable future.

Tonight I'm taking a break from my heavy current read and catching up on some lighter middle grade graphic novels.

Also, I'm coining the hashtag #CoronavirusReadathon . Feel free to share what you're reading or how you're doing during your mandatory unpaid vacations.
