This was a soft pick for me. Komi is a cute little thing who can‘t speak to anyone. But she manages to communicate a little with writing. I can see why this is a popular manga but I‘m not sure I‘m there for the next 30 books.

The artwork is decent and I love the characters. I will say that certain characters are a little inappropriate, but nothing too over-the-top. I loved these and binged.... Maybe five volumes after watching it on Netflix.
I almost DNF. This book hit me all the wrong ways. #Kobo #BrooklynPublicLibrary #marvellousmarch #seriesread2021
This is the first Manga book I‘ve ever read & it‘s a cute storyline!! Komi literally cannot verbally communicate & everyone @ her school thinks she‘s popular & she‘s someone they all admire.. Tadano quickly realizes what‘s wrong with Komi & decides to help her make 100 friends!! -I can‘t wait to read the other books & see what mess Tadano gets in from trying to help Komi without making her feel uncomfortable #manga #komicantcommunicate
Komi is socially awkward and comes across as reserved. Tadano is a wallflower. Tadano decides to help Komi make friends. Mostly comic feel about the awkwardness of growing up and trying to fit in.
Komi my sweet little angel.
I feel ya girlie.
This was a cute and a little relatable.
This is an interesting manga about a freshman who befriends a girl with crippling social anxiety. I liked how the author had scenes from Komi‘s point of view as well as Tadano‘s point of view. This is a fun book for high schoolers and I‘m happy to have a recommendation for students with social anxiety ready to go. 3/5 stars
A lot of manga, especially that which is aimed at young boys, can be indulgent and problematic. At its best (or even at the same time), it can be a great means for getting those same young boys to engage with their emotions in a way that encourages vulnerability and empathy.
