I thought this book was excellent. It‘s a story about a woman‘s journey through addiction from the time she begins using heroin and through her life as an addict. This is such a sad and scary story, but incredibly powerful and well written. It held my interest straight through to the very end and I was so invested in this story. This one is definitely a worthwhile book to read!

allureofbeauty That looks good. Adding it to my tbr. 5y

This is HEAVY. Every time I though Nicole had hit had the worst day of her life, there was another life-ruining scenario for her or her friends/family. Less than 100 pages in there is death and treacherous addiction and lies and heartbreak and the story escalates. She is extremely lucky in that even after getting hooked on a taste of heroin and obfuscating her life from her family‘s concern, they push on, filled with worry and a desire to help.

Leftcoastzen I wish I could go back to the old Chumley‘s how is the new version? 5y

these two books and they made me cry my face off! This is only the second this has ever happened. The writing is so good that you get 100% emotionally invested in the characters. Bonus is that i posted about the books on another site and the author responded and she was so nice and appreciative!
