This dude is an incredible writer. I randomly picked this off the library shelf because the cover grabbed me, so I went in without many expectations, but I didn't think the stories would be so palpably suspenseful & heavy. He lets tension rise & build & then adds a layer of thick emotion to it as his characters confront their innermost fears. This quote ☝?️ is about the fear of experiencing a plane crash, from the story "Brace for Impact." ✈️
