This book would be great for middle school and up. It talks about the several dynamics of building and the history of all of the. The illustrations in the book use blue print and sketches.
This book is about the evolution of buildings and how they were built. IT gives many descriptions on the type of building ranging from the start of the US to today.
Review: The story of Buildings by Patrick Dillon, 2014, is a nonfiction story all about the history of buildings all around the world.
Blurb: This book is a good example of the genre because it is full of real information/pictures of buildings & their history, the author did the research and was well educated on the topic.
Quote: “Most of all, the Middle Ages were a time of fighting, so kings and noblemen built great castles to defend themselves.“
“The great glass palace, full of wonders, proved to millions of visitors that a new age of technology had begun.“
This book would be good for 2nd and 3rd graders because it is more complex than other stories. This book would be great for kids because of the illustrations. Each page is very creative and interesting to read.
This is a nonfiction childrens book. This is a very good book for children to read and to be able to learn about buildings. All of the information in this book is very clearly stated and easy for students to understand.
This nonfiction book is good because it contains a lot of coverage with a wide arrange of different buildings and people beyond them being covered and its level of difficulty isn't too hard where its no longer enjoyable for kids. However, its primary importance isnt the highest and is meant to be more of a fun read rather than something to really learn and get a take-away with!
This book has very nice illustrations making it eye-cathcing for children. Beyond that, the students will find it interesting because it may appeal to their preferences in readings. It gives out rather exciting stories of how buildings came to be and is organized in a fun and exciting way!

My favorite part about this book is how many factual evidence there is along with the detailed illustrations of all the buildings.
The Story of Buildings by Patrick Dillon published in 2014 I thought was very factual and interesting. It is a story about how and why people started to make buildings. How they learned to make them stronger and bigger and why they started to decorate them. Patrick Dillon's stories of remarkable buildings along with the remarkable people who made them together celebrate human creation. The illustrations are so detailed and amazing as well!

This is one my favorite coolest books - detailed diagrams to browse along with histories of each building -- architecture, social purpose, place in history.
Great for homeschooling, my daughters engage so well w the pictures and anecdotes
