⭐️⭐️⭐️ This could have been a four star read but one of the plot lines hasn‘t aged too well and it made me a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, I enjoyed this slow burn of a book about a young girls summer as a mother‘s helper out on Eastern Long Island during the 60‘s. There was little plot and that‘s ok because but I got lost in the rich daily details of Theresa‘s routine and relationship with her young cousin Daisy.

My February #bookspin pick. This has been on my tbr for years. Glad to finally have a reason to pick it up.

The topic today, #sweetchildofmine made me think of my wonderful, now young adult, step-children, who are the children of my heart. #lyricalApril
