panWell, the good thing about Peirene novellas you don't get on with: they are short.
This Icelandic novella (about a researcher having a breakdown over a mistake she's made in the archive) I think would have been a better short story.
This was the author's first fiction though, so wonder what the others are like. Will they also be translated?
I'm not usually a fan of campus novels, so this one had points against it before the start!

so-soI almost bailed on this one. I got to the end of the book and wasn‘t sure exactly what was going on. The book had a good premise - I do like literary fiction especially one that revolves around books. This one was a little too slow and confusing for me. I feel like I missed something important that would have explained everything.
so-soThis book completely eluded me. It starts with a woman who has discovered something in the archives that could change everything about art history but then her credibility starts to unravel. It turns at times surreal, where she seems to be experiencing things others are not (or is this mental illness?) ⤵ï¸
