So I spent most of yesterday out for the count with a migraine, so didn't get much reading done, but I managed to work my way through the tagged book over the course of the day.

After racking up nearly 11 hours of reading in the first two days, I'm not at a grand today of 13 hours... still nothing to complain about though! Pretty happy with my reading so far 😊

Quotable, certainly, but it felt stifled. It sounded like his entire intent when writing this collection of short comments was to sound clever and important, and not to wrote things that in themselves were clever and important... But maybe that's just me.

The Penguin Classics Box is amazing, there are so many great books in it! I wish I could just read them all at once 😍😍

I gave up Goethe after trying and failing to read Faust, but I liked most of these short thoughts. Some real gems. One of my favorites: "Error is continually repeated in action, and that is why we must not tire of repeating in words what is true."

I read a lot of crappy reviews about this, but... cmon. Who doesn't want to read sketchy (double meaning in that!) Goethe? I love that it's a disjointed, ramble-y smattering of ideas. Some gems in here. Side note: about those Blackwing pencils...
