A new tea bowl I bought from a local potter this afternoon at a craft fair. It has an elm leaf design, which caught my eye. I'd like to say I've inaugurated it with a special blend of exotic tea, but it's actually a Metropolitan cocktail. 🍵🍸😛

LeahBergen That‘s gorgeous! 5y
Bookwomble @LeahBergen It is lovely. I like hand thrown pots as they're usually a bit wonky, and I can identify with that! They had a nice green bowl, which is my favourite colour and usual choice, but I liked this white bowl with an accent of green. 5y
Nute I dig that! And just like you I like hand-thrown mugs and bowls for their slight but cool imperfections. Nice find! 5y
Bookwomble @Nute I don't have many individual tea bowls, despite my liking for them, but I can feel the stirring of yet another collecting obsession! 🙄😛🙄 5y

The main thing I learned from this book is that the distinction between a bowl and a cup is sometimes rather fuzzy. Still, some lovely objects pictured.

No pottery studio is complete without its own library for informing and instructing the potter. This is one of my most constant references. So much awesome inspiration here.
