panSo this is an “if you like Steph Plum then try this” book but it lacks the charm and likeability of the Plum series. But it‘s got an accident prone heroine who isn‘t very good at her job, a love triangle and a host of crazy side characters so from that point of view it is a sort of comp. But for me it read like a bad audition to take over the Plum series if Evanovich wanted to add a ...with to that strand of her empire.
