Possibly surpassing the regular series in excitement and likable doggos, this Beasts of Burden spin-off adventure is a gory treat for the goodest bois.

This is beautifully illustrated and has good background information that answers questions that the first collection left open. It doesn‘t pull on my emotional heart strings as much as the first one, but in a way that‘s good. I don‘t like crying much. I think it‘s a bit more filler foe the series than stand alone, but definitely worth the read. 3.5/5 stars, read if you enjoy animal heroes and light horror. Note: NO graphic pet deaths.
