Got Absolute Watchmen on a whim from my library and the larger page scale makes such a difference. Gibbons' art absolutely soars from the bigger dimensions.

Bought this from Vintage Stock yesterday. Never read it. Just the movie (in which I hate most of the casting)
A nihilistic plot, horrible characters, graphic violence, wavering timeline and misogyny. I would have bailed but I spent money on this.
I have an awful habit of getting halfway through books and getting distracted by others! So I decided to dedicate December to finishing off all the books I left hanging. Managed to finish the bottom 5 already and am hopeful to finish at least another 4, my work schedule allowing 😂😂
Quite enjoyed this one.
I can surely see why it made such big waves,
It was way, way ahead of its time.
Does anyone here subscribe to comixology? I saw a promo the other day that said they were offering a 60 day free trial. Just wondering if anyone here has experience with them or opinions they would share. Many thanks! 😊
”...For you are Life, rarer than a quark & unpredictable beyond the dreams of Heisenberg; the clay in which the forces that shape all things leave their fingerprints most clearly.”
Doing this on Facebook and it seemed kinda fun to do here. You are meant to tag someone but heck if you wanna join in anyway just copy the text below. Might be fun 🙂 Day 1
I accepted the challenge of posting the covers of 7 books I love, no explanations, no reviews - just the covers.
Poignant, timely, and sadly still socially relevant... a must-read for any comic book fan.
"Come... dry your eyes, for you are life, rarer than a quark and unpredictable beyond the dreams of Heisenberg; the clay in which the forces that shape all things leave their fingerprints most clearly. Dry your eyes... and let's go home."
This chapter is so beautiful... both in concept and execution. It's one of my favorite parts of the film, and was just as satisfying to read.
This compilation usually sells for $100.
This slightly used version was marked at $50.
I used my punch card at my local comic book store & got it for $5.
You have to take a deal like this. I mean, you just have to 🤷🏻♀️
One panel, and in it one guy in a diner reads about war, one guy outside rattles on about war, and we see the actual caption a kid's reading about a personal war. And this is nothing special. This is what comic books are built to let happen.
