I enjoyed this clean romance for the most part, but it was, frankly, a bit on the boring side. The ending also got rather melodramatic. But if you are just looking for something relaxing & sweet, this one should fit the bill. And it also knocked off Iowa for #ReadtheUSA2021 & #SeparatedbyaPondTour @Andrew65
As Dead Letter Office employee, Penny reads other people‘s mail—at least, the letters that don‘t reach their intended recipient. When she opens a letter from a brokenhearted man, her romantic side can‘t help taking over, and she determines to find a way to fix what has been broken.
This begins as an unconventional romance and proves to be sweet and oh so heartwarming. I fell in love from beginning to end.

Yours Truly, Thomas took a long time to get going. The nature of the story—the dead letter office—meant it had to start with Penny and Thomas in different places, and for there to be a reasonable period of time before they met. But I found the opening dragged as a result. The story picked up pace and got a lot more interesting once Penny arrived in Azure Springs and met Thomas.

Thomas has no intentions on ending up in Azure Springs, Iowa, after leaving behind his former life. He certainly was not expecting a happy ending after what he had done. What he had wanted to do was run and never look back. He began to write in a moment of desperation but never really expected a reply!

“Dead ends are a reality for clerks at the dead letter office, and she dreams of something more--a bit of intrigue, perhaps a taste of romance. When she comes across a letter from a brokenhearted man to his one true love, it becomes her mission to place this lost letter into the hands of its intended recipient.”
"After letting an involuntary squeal escape, Penny pulled the yellowed papers closer and pressed her lips to them. Then she began to devour the words. 'My darling...'"
