Mehso-so

Seems like I came across a stand-alone novel which seems to be not typical for Meg Cabot. The coming off age (or coming off witchcraft) story is nice for the teenager target group but for me as an adult reader the ending was a bit rushed. I couldn‘t believe how gullible Jinx was and that she didn‘t realize where Zack‘s infatuation lies. Completely out of it.

AnnCrystal Have you read the young adult, Sweep Series by Cate Tiernan? Been years, yet it was one of my teenage book obsessions 😂 and it remains upon my shelf for my all-time favorites 📚💝. (edited) 3d

Cool book in Meg Cabot fashion. She usually does series so this was nice to read a stand-alone book. The ending felt rushed, but it was enjoyable nevertheless.

Soz, my last post was fully not about this book. Fuckboys are some bullshit. Anyways, cool story so far; it's about witches, something Meg hasn't focused on in other books of hers (she's done psychic, paranormal, *really* glad she didn't pick up on vamps tbh). Onwards ✨

Just had the most vile things said to me that I've ever seen online (a feat) by a fuckboy after I suggested a book exchange that is apparently illegal, according to fuckboy. I guess I'm the shittiest fucking person on the planet. So. No more fb. Or book exchanges. Hello panick attack, my old friend.

maximoffs I'm so sorry that happened. Fuckboys are the worst. ❤️❤️❤️ hugs from afar 9y
ContraryMary Ugh dudes are the worst! How the heck would the book exchange be illegal?! Chill out read a book 😝 and forget the assholes! 9y
BestOfFates Ugh, ignore! Boys should not be listened to. 9y

queerbookreader @ContraryMary He said it was a "pyramid scheme" the way the exchange was set up. A friend of mine asked me to participate with her. Like. This is a book exchange, not investments. 9y
queerbookreader @BestOfFates @steverogers Last time I trust a guy who's a self proclaimed feminist tbh 9y
BestOfFates @lemonlime799 Oh yeah, there's something about guys who proclaim they're pro-women, almost always the worst. Loud male feminists usually twice a sexist! 9y
BookishFeminist I hope you blocked the asshole. Men can be the worst, esp the ones that mansplain. Men, feel free to be part of the feminist community but your job is to SUPPORT not talk at or down to us. Ugh. Sorry you had to deal with this. I'm not on FB anymore & fight off Twitter trolls daily (always a dude). 9y
queerbookreader @BookishFeminist I've given up on Twitter, way too much trash on there. I only go on fb/twitter 2-3x/week now because I still manage to run into so much garbage on both sites. Tumblr is slightly more tolerable, albeit full of drama 24/7. Social media will be the death of me I swear 9y
BookishFeminist @lemonlime799 Agreed- I gave up social media entirely for a couple years due to anxiety & just went back to Twitter & Instagram. Twitter is a necessary evil for me bc it's the best way I can communicate feminist issues w/ being heard but there be trolls. I just block. Instagram is positive usually! 9y
queerbookreader @BookishFeminist I had to go on private on Twitter bcz my anxiety was killing me. I wanted to keep tweeting about activism but didn't want to get harassed all the time. Check out misscocomasloco on insta, SUCH a good acct focusing on black women. Really educational for nonblack women 9y
BookishFeminist Yea understandable, I've grown a tolerance for it but it's not easy. I will def check her out! 90s_uprising & fighting.ableism are great feminist accts on Insta. You're welcome to follow me on either too- I'm @ thebookfeminist on both. I tweet politics & feminism but Insta is mainly books :) 9y
queerbookreader @BookishFeminist Update: I found you on twitter! I'm private so you might not see it but if you want to follow me back I tweet lots of activist stuff and me sobbing about stuff I like, look me up! @/lemonlime799 8y
BookishFeminist @lemonlime799 Awesome, thanks! I do as well. I used to tweet more book things but with everything that's been going on--NOPE. I'll follow back when I log in! 8y
