9 posts | 5 read | 7 to read
"In all the time the Tufa have existed, only two have ever been exiled: Bo-Kate Wisby and her lover, Jefferson Powell. They were cast out, stripped of their ability to make music, and cursed to never be able to find their way back to Needsville. Their crime? When a banished Tufa comes back for revenge and a power grab, the Tufa have to decide what they want and what they will accept. I love the way music plays such an important role in these stories.

The Tufa are one of the best creations in literature. Fairies crossed with mob like tendencies and a hint of secret society. Wonderful world to sink into.

I used this series for a prompt. But Rockhouse Hicks and his nephew are very #unlikeablecharacters 😖 #aprilbookshowers

This was my favorite of the first three Tufa novels - definitely a page turner and brought full circle the things that happened in the previous two novels. I loved the character of Bo-Kate, her vicious determination really drove the story. The ending left me wanting, but otherwise it was wonderful.

I do love finding Doctor Who references in books I'm reading!
This novel is shaping up to be my favorite of the three in the series so far, I hope it keeps up the momentum it's got going.
