Escape Across the Wide Sea | 
pickThe parallels between a family of Huguenots escaping France and the slaves on the ship they accidentally stow away on sometimes threaten to go a bit far, but always pull back to highlight the essential distinction. Hard to read sometimes, but good slice of historical fiction.
