Fans of The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices know that Magnus Bane is banned from Peruand now they can find out why. One of ten adventures in The Bane Chronicles. There are good reasons Peru is off-limits to Magnus Bane. Follow Magnuss Peruvian escapades as he drags his fellow warlocks Ragnor Fell and Catarina Loss into trouble, learns several instruments (which he plays shockingly), dances (which he does shockingly), and disgraces his host nation by doing something unspeakable to the Nazca Lines. This standalone e-only short story illuminates the life of the enigmatic Magnus Bane, whose alluring personality populates the pages of the #1 New York Times bestselling series The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. This story in The Bane Chronicles, What Really Happened in Peru, is written by Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan.

My first read of 2025! I've been using both StoryGraph and Goodreads for last couple of years. SG just seems to be getting better. They keep adding things I love like this Reading Calendar. Also like that if a book is missing you can add it yourself. Plus you can make your own challenges.

GRs still hasn't updated my last Review of 2024 Challenge. Keeping for years of Reviews, Stats, & friends.

Who else is on StoryGraph? Link to me ⬇️

wordslinger42 I am! My handle is the same as here. I didn‘t use it last year, but I‘m getting back into it for 2025! It‘s so much nicer than Goodreads! 6d
Crinoline_Laphroaig @wordslinger42 I'll go follow you! 6d

rockpools Thank you for this! I‘m trying again with SG (and Litsy. And reading come to that) this year, and hadn‘t discovered the calendar or graphics. Just found them. So cool! 6d
Crinoline_Laphroaig @rockpools I followed you! I love the fresh start of January. 6d
eeclayton I use GR and SG simultaneously, too. I like GR for the written reviews, while SG is much better for keeping track of challenges, in my opinion.
I followed you, my handle is the same as on here.

Larkken This is very cool! I‘ve been trying to do this for myself in a book journal but I‘m all for something doing it for me. 5d
Crinoline_Laphroaig @Larkken I really like SG book journal. @eeclayton also like if I'm doing a seasonal read along, I can put in a future date to remind me to start up. And now you can pause a book as well. Which is also nice when reading seasonally. 5d
kspenmoll I just started using it- still trying to get the knack of the app! Kspenmoll- find me! 4d
Crinoline_Laphroaig @kspenmoll looks like you found me! 4d

I am madly in love with Magnus Bane and listening to his stories makes my heart so happy! I always found him the most fascinating character and wondered what it was like for him to live so many lives, what he saw, what he felt over his long life. I am so glad that I stumbled upon his books on my library app.

Bookworm54 Hello! A bit random but I remembered seeing your post and about you liking Magnus. I have a spare copy of The red scrolls of magic. Was wondering if you would like it before I offer it out to the world? Email me if you fancy it and I will post it to you :) gemma0504@hotmail.co.uk 5y

I love Magnus from The mortal instruments. You can keep Jace, I‘ll keep Magnus as one of my many book boyfriends ❤️ I recommend reading his chronicles to get a better idea of who he is.

My favorite use of the word "I am not going to ensorcel a monkey!" Honestly Ragnor. What do you take me for?"
