2 posts | 9 read | 1 to read
Book Five of the Wayfarer Redemption The Star Gate is destroyed and the Star Dance is dead. Icarii Enchanters, gods, and humans alike are helpless as the TimeKeeper Demons lay waste to Tencendor. There must be hope left, but no one knows where to find it. Death lurks in every twist of the Maze, but only those who have the courage to endure death can learn the secrets of the ancient enemy. Caelum SunSoar and his parents know that the only way is to discover the ancient secrets that lay trapped in the mountain Star Finger, and Faraday, martyred heroine, grows ever fearful -- and ever bitter. Must she lose everything to the land?

I stopped off at McDonald‘s on my bike ride for a wee reading break and to use up some points that were about to expire. PILGRIM ain‘t perfect—it‘s a 90s epic fantasy, with all that implies—but it‘s definitely my favourite Sara Douglass to date. I hope I can find enough time to finish it tonight.

dabbe Looks like a chunkster, too! 😊 2y
xicanti @dabbe it‘s about 750 pages. I‘ve been reading it as my in-between book but now I‘m ready for the final push! 2y

I normally eat my palak paneer with naan, but my mum gave me a couple of Yorkshire puddings so I figured I‘d take a fusion approach. Naan definitely wins the mouth feel contest, but the dish was still tasty.

Now I‘m ready to read another chunk of PILGRIM, which is my current in-between book. I‘m still interested in the overarching story and still frustrated with the late-90s dickery. Boo to both Axis and Azhure. What shitty, shitty parents.
