This was so different than I expected. I thought it would focus more on the walk itself, & had no clue about the mysticism inside. Like if Sylvia Brown wrote Wild. That isn't a bad thing, just a surprise. The regression experiences and insights that she had on the trail were quite interesting. Some was a bit much, but if you read between the lines there are some profound ideas there. I especially enjoyed the bit on the Androgyny of the soul.
