This was so different than I expected. I thought it would focus more on the walk itself, & had no clue about the mysticism inside. Like if Sylvia Brown wrote Wild. That isn't a bad thing, just a surprise. The regression experiences and insights that she had on the trail were quite interesting. Some was a bit much, but if you read between the lines there are some profound ideas there. I especially enjoyed the bit on the Androgyny of the soul.

My library hold came in and the rest of these demanded I take them home as well.

This is a beautiful book, but unfortunately the content was utterly ridiculous. The book is ostensibly about Shirley MacLaine walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. In actuality, this is like 10% discussion of her Camino journey and 90% discussion of her dreams and supposed past lives. I gave it 1 ⭐️—I should have DNFed but my mom gave it to me. We‘ve actually been talking about doing the walk, but this book did not give me much inspiration.
